Looking back ... looking forward ...

The novitiate attended the golden jubilee of two of the sisters who were celebrating fifty years of life as sisters. Most of us sang in the choir, and then we went to the dinner afterwards. It was a big event with alot of people and much to celebrate!
I have been waiting to hear what my ministry will be in the fall. After talking to a few people involved, I will be teaching fourth grade at one of our schools in Manchester, New Hampshire. I am looking forward to getting back into teaching, and to not being a novice anymore! I feel ready to move forward.
I am planning my Mass and dinner for when I profess my first vows. I met with the priest who will give the homily, met with the sister who is helping me make my program and invitations, and then got an estimate from a printer. It's nice to get involved in the preparations for that day!
We had a relaxed and fun Memorial Day together. First we went to a local park and walked, read, and played games. Then we came back and had a barbecue. It was a good way to spend the holiday.
