October Update

We've been having several visitors the last few weeks. I guess people like to visit us! It seems like we have a revolving door on our house these days. But the visits have been positive; we've had some nice sisters come to see us.

One of the sisters that I live with, the principal, got an award for her years of service. We attended the celebration and it was a lovely tribute to Catholic education. She is a humble person and has done so much for the school here!

We had the closing of our general visitation in Livonia today. It began with Mass at the Presentation chapel at the central convent and continued with brunch. Afterwards, the general council remarked upon their experience of visitation. They had many positive and encouraging things to say, and indeed seem to have had a nice time here. We had a good time with our visitors when they came to us, so it was good to hear that the feeling was mutual. The schedule was crazy on top of school, but I did feel that they related to us as sisters.
