Livonia, Michigan

I have only a week left of my time here in Livonia, Michigan. Where did the time go?! I have been continuing to experience different ministries, meet new people, and even to tour the area. I saw some Felician ministries here: the hospice, the Montessori school, a housing development for retired priests, and a hospital. I got to visit some of the attractions of Detroit: the Fr. Solanus Casey spirituality center, the cemetary where one of our founding sisters is buried, as well as the downtown area of the city.

I spent this last weekend on retreat with the university students from campus ministry. They are a prayerful group that enjoys devotions; we prayed the rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, had processions, and did the Stations of the Cross. A priest gave all of the talks and presided over the Masses that we had. It was a blessing to meet such devout young people, and a nice time away.
