At St. Casimir's School, we have a Faith Involvement group that runs religious activities for each class. It was my class' turn this Friday. Because it was so close to All Saints' Day, they each chose a saint to do a presentation about. They put together a simple costume and practiced a skit. After the skit, during which each student got to share his or her paragraph, they did a craft about the saints and then had ice cream sundaes. I was proud of them; it was wonderful to see the fruits of all our hard work. Many of them did quite well!
For social studies, they brought in dioramas of famous landmarks of our country. Each student read a paragraph about it and showed their classmates what they had made. Then several other grades in the school visited to see and hear about their projects. It was neat to see how creative and talented they were, as well as to see how interested they could be in social studies!
