We are in the middle of
a long, cold, BRUTAL winter here in Michigan. There really isn't that much snow
to speak of, but it is so cold and it feels so long! The kids have indoor
recess quite a bit, and never quite get their energy out!
Next week is Catholic Schools Week. We will be doing fun things like Silly Sock and Slipper Day, Sports Fan Day, and Crazy Hat and Belt Day. There is also a geography bee and a talent show. We are having two open houses to try to bring more families into the school. For the teacher, all this calls for flexibility and a sense of humor. To be honest, I would rather just teach them! But you have to let kids be kids....
