Follow me as I journey as a Felician Franciscan Sister. I am currently a classroom teacher and I love what I am doing. The juggle between my active life and my prayer life are slowly coming into rhythm. Hope you enjoy my little stories about my "life".

May Update
The last few weeks have been eventful here. First of all, our pastor fell and broke his hip. He is the only priest at the parish, and is almost 94 years old. He had a total hip replacement and is recooperating in a nursing home. We have visited him several times and he seems to be doing well. We have a visiting priest doing the Masses for us, and we help him out.
We were invited to the parish Ladies Guild Mother's Day dinner. Dinner was delicious, and the women are always gracious and welcoming to us. I enjoy their hospitality, but it gets to me sometimes to be with older people as much as I am. All of them could be my grandmothers, after all. Despite that, it was nice to see them and to do something different for dinner. It does mix things up.
We went to a jubilee in Enfield last weekend. Two sisters celebrated their 75th anniverseries in religious life. It was good to be there; it always is. I did not join the sisters in Enfield, but I feel like I'm at home there. One of the sisters wanted so much to be there for her jubilee that she resisted going to the hospital for some much-needed transfusions. She made it halfway through the Mass before asking to be brought to the hospital. At first she was not responding well to the transfusions, and the sisters started to keep vigil at her bedside, but now I hear that she is more alert and seems to be getting better. God bless Sr. Alfrieda (and Sr. Angelora, too)!
We have a few weeks of school left; about 20 days. The school year goes until June 20th because of snow days that we need to make up. I've been doing a lot of classwork projects with them; they work on them in school and I grade them. There have been less tests and these seem to hold the children's attentions better.
